Another dry day

I got around the south end today without any rain. That's a whole weekend of riding without rain! After last weekend's soaking it was a nice relief. It was 38 degrees when I finished but I felt pretty toasty the whole way. It may be because today's ride was co-ed and a faster tempo than the girls usually ride. There were 4 of us on the ride but then Robin turned off and we added John and Gary. I was also dressed pretty warm: Defeet under shirt, two Craft tops, and a wool sweater. On my feet I had Defeet slip stream covers and then Pearl Izumi toaster booties, then three pairs of gloves on my hands, wool knee warmers and long bike tights for the legs and a Sheila Moon fleece cap on my head. I could have stayed out all day.

First ride to blog about

So I decided to blog about racing, training, and riding. Today was my first ride to blog about. I went to meet the group at Zoka's and no one was there but I met this other guy, "Prudog" (blog name) who I know from reading his blog but never actually met.
http://prudogblog.blogspot.com/ So I said "so you're Prudog"? It was funny to meet someone that I only know from a blog. His advice on blogs was that nobody wants to read a diary. I'll try not to sound like a diary but will probably not completely succeed. So I rode with Prudog and he is great to listen to. He knows a ton about economics, small business, optics, training, the history of riding in the NW... and the time flies by - it seemed like three minutes and we were at log boom already!

My teammates joined me at logboom and I got a great 4-1/2 hour ride without any rain! I guess my perspiration was creating frost on my back though.

I found out that the Ti cycles shop is going to be replaced by Counterbalance and Pete will still be the mechanic. It's great to know that there will still be a shop there.
